Embrace your passion.

I remember when I used to work in corporate, one of my favorite ways to start the day was to dress up elegant and fashionable to go to work. While most people would ask me why did I put so much effort if it was just to go to the office, but this was something I was only doing for myself. I like to Impress myself and took my performance serious. And I guess you could say this was a form of my own to share my passion and commitment to my work and my need to deliver excellence.

Before what would help us to move forward in our careers was to have connections, and not burn those bridges no matter how much we would dislike our jobs. While this is still truth, there is another component that is probably more important in order to succeed as technology has changed the way we work, where we work, when we work and with whom we work with.

Now days we engage in conversations with people from different locations, different industries and different languages. Is so easy to make a match or send a friend request to a stranger and start a conversation. But the main issue I see with this is that people’s communication falls through very easily or we get ghosted, due to lack of interest. People can become not impressive enough very quickly because of technology, and seems there is always something better to chase somewhere else. Another issue is that people need to see quick results without willing to take the time to build real connections. This is a problem, specially for entrepreneurs that work for themselves, or are just starting out.

How do you break from this? Is very simple, show your passion, be genuine in order to build real connections and set yourself free to standout by being bold on your own style, whichever style that is. This may seem like extra creative work, but if we could embrace our uniqueness we can do this.

I often hear and see people playing it safe, when pursuing a change in their careers, becoming entrepreneurs, or even to connect with people. And often entrepreneurs ‘honor’ when they hit a time of exhaustion. There is a need and time to rest, however in order to break-through, sometime we gotta embrace our boldness and take action like sports athletes and rock stars.

I mean if we look at a few of the biggest icons such Bruce Springsteen, Lady Gaga, or Madonna these are people that play their game under their own terms and had something to say. They are unapologetic and have fun with their work. They have passion. The own bold, and sometime ridiculously outfits, or play around and do what they want on stage. Is their passion that makes them successful. Their desire is to push themselves to their limits and this takes them to the next level. They are competitive with themselves and even on bad days, they get in front of a stage to sing their heart with passion. This reaches and inspire hundreds and hundreds of people creating time-less experiences.

Why can’t entrepreneurs, aspiring entrepreneurs, consultants, or even employees do something similar? It does not matter the work with do, what matters is when we get up in the morning and set our intention for our day, it should come with the intention to share our passion, our mission, our beliefs, our feelings, our love and our purpose. After all, this is it! What are we waiting for? We are on a race against time, unfortunately.

When you share your mission to potential clients, work or seek a new job, when you go out to network, perhaps go out on a date, let that positive, invigorating and passionate energy lead. As a result, people will remember you, will want to talk to you, will want to help you, work with you, and be part of your journey.  When we combine this with experience, knowledge, commitment and dedication, this results in success and new opportunities.

A few things to remember:

  • If you are going to try something new,
    go all the way.

  • If you are going to create a brand of your own, stand out and become an icon.

  • Make bold moves, push your limits - find your limits and break them.

  • Don’t be afraid of your uniqueness, find it and embrace it.

  • Don’t be afraid of your sexuality, this energy is very powerful if used correctly.

  • Don’t apologize for wanting to make money and succeed. We all have a purpose in this life.

  • Enjoy yourself through creating new experiences.

  • If you like someone, be bold and show yourself and why are you different. Take a chance. Some good things could result from it.

  • Dare to dream big and go for it.
One step at a time and you’ll get there.

Passion inspires people, it has a strong effect that moves fast. Whether is a positive or negative passion (think Hitler) it has a tremendous effect to gain believers and followers. But when we learn our potential and shared our way, we can create the same effect.

Boredom only puts things on hold and isolates us from others.

Passionate risks takers transform and inspire the world.

Share your passion.
